Early Season News
Many of you must be wondering why our website has been lacking in updates recently.
To answer that, I simply don't have the time to post the weekly reports on each and every race you have become used to over the past couple of seasons. Couple that with the weekly availability of excellent comprehensive reports from David Hensby and Duncan Luke on the CSRA website, as well as Andy Harris' accounts of the weekly action and I see no sense in repeating it.
Therefore, I have made a concious decision to concentrate on news directly related only to "Team Small Racing". As well as that I would slowly like to build the "information" section of this site, especially concentrating on tips and advice for potential, new or upcoming speedway riders. There is more of a demand for this type of information as I get many e-mails from people around the globe that have stumbled across this site, asking for advice.
I aplologize to all you loyal readers out there that have enjoyed my wekly accounts of Canadian Speedway Racing in the past. It just means a change in flavour of this sites updates for the future. Please keep checking back to see what gets added.
As far as Team Small's racing goes so far this season, It has been a very enjoyable one for me. I don't usually get right in amongst the thick of the action, but I can definitely say I am riding harder and faster than ever before. The difference; so is everyone else! The speed in Division 1 at Paris is without question faster that in previous seasons, the odd "special" rider being the exception.
I'm loving the "Old Wessie", although at times I do "run out of bike". I can't believe I'd ever say a speedway bike was not powerful enough for me, but there you have it!
Michael has had a sporadic start to his first season in Division 2, with his schedule (for one reason or another) not allowing him to focus on his racing 100%. I think that has now changed. Last Friday his second place finish in D2 totally rekindled his enthusiasm, and I think you'll be seeing alot more of him riding sucessfully in D2 the remainder of the season.
I'll be back with more new stuff within the next week or so, so please don't go far away!
Regards,
Phil #21 & Michael #2
